The Electrical Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the electrical industry. This role involves building relationships with key clients, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the growth and profitability of the company’s electrical products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Market Research & Analysis**: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the electrical industry.
- **Lead Generation**: Identify potential clients and partners through networking, industry events, online research, and referrals.
- **Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their electrical needs and providing tailored solutions.
- **Sales Strategy Development**: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and revenue targets in the electrical sector.
- **Proposal Development**: Prepare and present business proposals, including cost estimates, project timelines, and technical specifications.
- **Product Knowledge**: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s electrical products and services to effectively communicate their benefits and features to clients.
- **Negotiation & Closing**: Negotiate contracts and close business deals to achieve sales targets.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams such as engineering, marketing, and customer service to ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
- **Reporting**: Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, MBA is a plus.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in business development or sales within the electrical industry, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- **Skills**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Analytical and strategic thinking.
- Technical understanding of electrical products and services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements:
- **Travel**: Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and other business-related activities.
- **Industry Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of the electrical industry, including current trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
